Scientist Rebellion Netherlands: Introduction and Getting Involved
Governments speak of “keeping 1.5°C alive” while continuing to subsidize fossil fuels and allowing oil and gas explorations across the world. 1.5°C, then, is not alive. Instead, we are moving into uncharted and terrifying territory. “Any further delay in concerted action”, as the latest IPCC report notes, “will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all.” It is time for scientists to join the forefront of the climate movement and demand emergency action. We have no time to lose.

From the 4th to 9th April, Scientist Rebellion organized the largest civil disobedience campaign by scientists on the climate emergency to date, with over 1000 scientists taking action in over 25 countries.

Are you a scientist or academic in the Netherlands and want to learn more about the emergency, Scientist Rebellion, and how you can get involved? Then join this meeting!
